Your relationships—with yourself and others—set the foundation for your future!
How you make sense of your relationships and experiences can become embedded information which activates your nervous system in new interactions. Talk therapy can support processing the cognitive, emotional and somatic impacts of these interactions, allowing you to be more present in each moment to make more conscious, mindful, rational and accurate perceptions about relationships, finances, career, daily habits, boundaries and more.
As relationships are the focus of our therapeutic work, we put an emphasis on patterns around connection, intimacy, communication, rapture and repair. Some of the therapeutic approaches we used to support culturally diverse clients include attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Couples Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. These approaches allow women and women across cultural backgrounds to address emotional connection and attachment; explore and address the role of thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors in their relationship; explore unconscious motivations, unmet need, unresolved tensions, and attachment patterns and reframe their relationship and personal stories.
Our counseling work with individuals and couples include a comprehensive initial intake, treatment planning, collaboration with other care providers, and the thoughtful selection of the theoretical frameworks that apply to the individual or couples, developmental stage, cultural background, treatment, goals, personal values, and beliefs and more.
